UAB, HudsonAlpha land $10M grant for genome project

The University of Alabama at Birmingham, along with HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology and the University of Mississippi Medical Center, was awarded a $10 million, four-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to investigate how genome sequences can help with the diagnosis and care of babies with genetic disorders and birth defects.
